The Newfoundland Period: An Inspiring Journey Exploring Eastern Canada

I spent ten years exploring the farthest Eastern province of Canada, Newfoundland—a true gem in the Atlantic Ocean. At the Iceberg Allay's first row, I was living on the coast, admiring those giants' final melt after years of navigation from Greenland. Sometimes, a polar bear was still on it. Even in my wildest dream, I never thought it possible to collect a small part of an iceberg when it collapsed and drink that water or use it in our drinks; what a chance, what a privilege to have a cocktail with a 10,000-year-old ice cube in it!

In the early summer, Humpback Whales were always there to feed themself with tons of capelins, surrounded by puffins, seagulls and sometimes seals on the beach, enjoying the sun on a berg. One day, the bay was entirely in ice; the day after, it was gone, perpetual movement and beauty. The wildlife was stunning and was my inspiration. Raw, untouched and unpredictable, it was a new colour palette daily. All those years were my “Thalassotherapy Session.”
